Swimming Metro South East (MetSEA) area was established in March 2008 following the amalgamation of the Eastern Suburbs, City of Sydney, St George, and parts of the Western Suburbs districts.

Today, it represents approximately 30 clubs across a broad region of south-eastern Sydney, spanning from Vaucluse in the east to Burwood in the west, and extending south through the Sutherland Shire to Engadine.

The area exists to conduct, encourage, promote, and administer swimming within the region. The organisation is committed to fostering athlete development, supporting clubs and officials, and providing quality competition opportunities at all levels of the sport.
