  • Do the Essential Skills course  (formerly known as Community Officiating General Principles) if this is your first course
  • Register here to do the Online Coursework

Complete the Cover Sheet …

  • Standard Module Cover Sheet
  • Special Cover Sheet for Starter & Referee
  • Forward the “Cover Sheet” to the MetSEA ATSC Convenor
  • Request Assessment through the MetSEA ATSC Convenor

If you would like to attend a Presentation or get more information on any of the Training Modules please email the MetSEA ATSC Convenor

TIMEKEEPER

Candidates attempting SAL Learner Guides / Modules for Technical Official accreditation must complete the relevant training exercises before the SAL module is attempted.

Training Exercises are done in conjunction with the Training Notes.

Download the Timekeeper Training Notes and the Timekeeper Training Exercises.

After doing these, you are now ready to do the Timekeeper Learner Guide. This will give you all the necessary information and skills to be assessed successfully.

  • PRACTICE WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED

Request an Assessment through the ATSC Convenor. The assessment for Timekeeper can be done at Club. If competent, the Assessor will help you complete the Cover Sheet and this should be forwarded this to the ATSC Convenor.

If your Club has different criteria or protocols, when being assessed it is important that you follow the criteria in the Module.

Assessment

Assessment involves being deemed competent as an Official at a MetSEA Meet. Timekeepers can be assessed at Club. Other officials (except Referee) must be assessed at a MetSEA Meet.

Starters require 2 assessments at a MetSEA Meet.

Assessment for Referee

Referee Courses are conducted by Swimming NSW. Following completion, a written examination is required before qualification as Level 1 (Club & Area Referee).

For progression to Level 2 (State Referee), another written examination is required.
