MAINTAINING YOUR ACCREDITATION
As an Official, you will need to gain sufficient points in each 4 year period to maintain your accreditation. The points indicated below are minimums.
Technical Officials except Referee, Starter, JOS, IOT (click to see requirements)
- Require 50 points from:
(in 4 year period) - Officiating Practice 15 points
- General Swimming Education 5 points
e.g. Officiate + 1 online course
Referee and Starter Level 1, JOS, IOT (click to see requirements)
- Require 50 points, from:
(in 4 year period) - Officiating Practice 15 points
- General Swimming Education 5 points
- SAL Specific Officiating Education 5 points
e.g. Officiate + 1 online course + 1 State Forum
Referee and Starter Level 2 (click to see requirements)
- Require 100 points, from:
(in 4 year period) - Officiating Practice 30 points
- General Swimming Education 10 points
- SAL Specific Officiating Education 10 points
e.g. Officiate + 2 online courses + 1 State Forum
Referee and Starter Level 3 (click to see requirements)
- Require 200 points in 4 year period
- Officiating Practice 45 points
- General Swimming Education (need 15 points minimum)
- SAL Specific Officiating Education (need 15 points minimum)
e.g. Officiate + 2 online courses + 2 State Forums
