MESSAGE FROM JEN NOEL 23 MAR 2020

Hi Everyone,
It is with sadness and regret that we announce the closure of our pool – in consideration of the advice handed down by the Federal and NSW Governments, the North Cronulla Surf Life Saving Club has made the difficult decision to close both the Pool and the Gym. Even though the pool is outdoors the Club is incapable of facilitating the increase in hygiene standards needed to ensure the virus cannot be spread and for our health and safety we agree they have made the only decision they could.
Although we were planning to close our doors for the renovation as of April 30th, the squad sessions we held this morning were our last and NC Pool will close indefinitely from Midday today. For NC Swim this means that our little family has come to an end sooner and in a more unceremonious manner than intended, we will of course do our best to find opportunities for ceremony and we will keep you informed as the COVID-19 situation evolves.
We will liaise with the Surf Club to arrange time slots for our members to drop in at the pool in small groups to pick up their kit bags, we are also planning to distribute some of our training equipment – we have finz, hand paddles, finger paddles, kick boards, medicine balls, dumbells, exercise mats, stretch sticks and more – we will be in touch to let you know when you can come down.
I would personally like to thank you all – my growth has been exponential since becoming a member of the NC Family, I have learned so much from so many, I cannot even begin to express how grateful I am to all of you for the myriad ways you have help me become a better coach and a better person.
I would also like to thank you all for looking after Terry so well for all these years – NC has been the pinnacle of his 56 year coaching career and has been the love of his swimming life, we could not have imagined being surrounded by a better family as he makes his transition to retirement.
Thank you for an incredible ride – we will miss you all!
Kind Regards,
Jen Noel
